Belize: What You Should Know

Population: 441K
Age Range: 68% of Belizeans are between the ages of 15–64
Belize’s healthcare system faces challenges in reaching its dispersed rural populations, especially in the southern districts and among Indigenous Maya and Garifuna communities. While urban centers offer public health services, access in remote areas is limited by geography and resources.
Our global health initiatives in Belize work to strengthen care delivery in rural communities through in-home visits, mobile clinics and education efforts alongside local health authorities.
