What Happens if I Fundraise More Funds Than My Donation Goal Amount?
On some occasions after their fundraising efforts, volunteers realize they have exceeded their Donation Goal and raised more than expected. Global Brigades considers these extra funds. When this happens, volunteers receive several allocation options, including saving their funds for a future Brigade.
When a volunteer decides to save their extra funds for a future Brigade, they inform their Program Associate of their intention. They will have one year from the original Brigade date to join a program in which they may use the saved funds.
If the funds are not used in a program taking place within this one-year timeframe, Global Brigades will automatically allocate these extra funds to support its mission as needed.
