GB Week is an international celebration of Global Brigades’ collaborative impact. It’s an annual, week-long initiative for Global Brigades Chapters, staff, and community leaders to organize events on their campuses in their local community and actively engage on social media.
As an organization, we make a huge impact thanks to the hard work and passion of our volunteers, staff, and community leaders. This year-round dedication drives our organization. It is so important to take time each year to mark and celebrate the positive impact we make on a global scale.

Monday | February 17
Host an event: GB Week Dinner with your Brigade Group
Details:
- The contest begins on Monday and the GB Week Dinner can be held Monday-Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday.
- Post a group photo from the dinner on Instagram and tag @globalbrigades (if you’re a Medical Brigade then also tag @medicalbrigades).
- We will award a $1,000 Brigade scholarship to the Chapter with the best post
- Global Brigades will select one winning group based on photo creativity and caption details. Make sure your photo (or reel) is creative and that the caption includes details about why Global Brigades has a unique approach to sustainable development through volunteer engagement.

Traveling internationally to volunteer is an inspiring, empowering, motivational endeavor. Through Global Brigades, students make an impact alongside community partners. Together, we increase access to healthcare, build clean water systems, implement public health infrastructure, and drive economic growth. Collaboratively, we're holistic and sustainable in our data-driven program methodology.
An opportunity this enormous can be difficult to put into words, especially when fundraising or recruiting for your Brigade, which is why we have an impressive lineup of volunteer stories (and the data to back it up) to show you the tangible work that happens abroad.

Host an event: Volunteer in your university town. Brigaders make an impact at home and abroad. Support a local non-profit, collect supplies for a food bank, get active in your local community!

Spread the word on social
Earn a scholarship for your Chapter! Earn your Chapter a chance at a $1,000 Brigade scholarship. To be eligible for the scholarship meet the following requirements:
- Post a Brigade photo on Instagram and tag @globalbrigades (and @medicalbrigades if you are part of a Medical Brigades Chapter)
- Write a compelling caption that includes both topics:
- Why your fellow Chapter members impacted your life, and
- How your Brigade is meaningful for your future
- Global Brigades will select the winning post based on photo/reel creativity and caption content. Be sure to follow GB's 3Cs!
